For electrical contractors and sparkies
Job Management Software for NZ Electricians
Half your work is charge-up, and charge-up only pays if no hour goes missing between the switchboard and the invoice. Work Flow Trade tracks each sparky’s time on the job and turns it into the invoice, with materials and photos attached.

Sound familiar?
The everyday problems Work Flow Trade was built to fix for electricians.
Charge-up hours are scribbled on dockets and lost before they’re billed
Cable and fittings from the wholesaler never reach the invoice
A fit-out quote eats a whole evening
You don’t know which sparky is where without ringing them
Photos, test results and certificates end up on five different phones
The hours on the timesheet don’t match the hours you billed
How an electrical job runs in Work Flow Trade
- 1
Quote it once
Build the quote with a heading for each stage (rough-in, fit-off, commissioning) and save the lines you use every week as a template. It goes out as a branded PDF the customer accepts from the email link.
- 2
Put the crew on it
Book the job across as many days as it needs, with different sparkies on different days. Everyone gets the job details on their phone.
- 3
Every hour on the clock
Each electrician starts and stops a timer on the job. Charge-up hours wait in the job’s unbilled list until you invoice them, so none drop out between the site and the office.
- 4
Invoice from the job
Create the invoice from the job and the unbilled hours and materials come in as lines. For bigger jobs, send a deposit, progress payments and a final invoice.
- 5
Paperwork stays with the job
Attach photos and test results to the job or the site. If you issue your CoCs, ESCs and test sheets in CertMate, the finished certificate lands on the job by itself.

Works with CertMate
Certificates and test sheets, filled in from the job
Connect CertMate under Account Settings → Integrations. A sparky starting a CoC, ESC or test sheet in CertMate picks the Work Flow Trade job by its number, the customer and site details fill in, and the issued certificate lands in the job’s Documents on its own. No retyping, and the certificate is on the job the next time you’re called back.
Try CertMateWhy electricians choose Work Flow Trade
Electrical work swings between a two-hour fault-find and a three-week fit-out, often in the same week, and a lot of it is charge-up. Charge-up only pays if every hour and every metre of cable reaches the invoice. Work Flow Trade is built around that loop. Timers on the job capture the hours, materials come off your stock list, and the invoice is created from the job rather than typed up from memory on Friday. The job profit view shows whether each job made money, including the paid hours no customer paid for. It's $50+GST a month for the whole crew, apprentices included, with no per-user fees.

Not on its own, and it doesn’t need to. The issued certificate is filed on the job automatically. Any other certificate can be attached to the job or site as a PDF or photo.
